Henning Norwegian Nativity
Henning Engelsen (1918-2005) gave his name to this family of woodcarvings. This small business continues under the leadership of his two daughters, Christl and Angelina together with his son-in-law, Bjarne Espedal, who learned the art of woodcarving from Henning. These truly hand carved pieces are crafted in the town of Kapp in eastern Norway. Their workshop is located about 120 miles north of Oslo. Henning woodcarvings are made out of seasoned wood from the Nordic linden and birch trees.
