In 1920 Leo Prinoth Sr. founded a woodcarving workshop called LEPI in Ortisei / Val Gardena, Italy. Val Gardena is a region deeply connected to its past, it traditions and its own German language. The woodcarvings of this region are treasured worldwide. LEPI has become famous for its large range of Nativity carvings, and has expanded its offerings to include a variety of other ecclesiastical and secular artwork.
